A couple of transportation questions about the Block Party

Hello to everyone from a native North Carolinian!

 

I'm in the process of changing my travel plans due to some surprise financial situations here at home (stupid car, stupid garage door, stupid vet (but awesome dog!), but I'm still planning on coming to the Block Party. I'll be staying at a hostel in the Fremont District between August 15th-22nd. My questions:

 

1. It looks like I can walk to the TIFF and the Block Party. Is there a way to get to the Going Ape event without renting a car?

 

2. Is anyone planning on heading south to the Original Stash? I'd love to chip in on gas and accompany someone there. Hate to get this close and not visit that place.

 

3. Any other advice you have for someone who's never been to the area?

You will need to find a ride to Going APE. I wish I had room to take you, but full car already.
