+lipk
I want to find caches in Europe situated higher than 2 500 meters. How can I filter them out? Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
I don't think there ever was a filter for elevation. Perhaps these might be searched using the D/T ratings? Oh, and I googled "Head-in-the-clouds-Award": http://badgegen.com/badges.html Maybe there are some bookmark lists by folks that might help? B. Quote Link to comment
+terratin
What you could do is look up mountains in Europe that are higher than 2500m. Wikipedia might help. Then look on the caching map at those mountains and see if there's a cache there. If you don't want to travel far east I'd concentrate on the Alps. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
I don't bother with it, but you'd think if there's another badgegen thing, there'd be something found through gsak. Agree with Pup Patrol, find someone with similar likes and look for bookmark lists. Edited April 1, 2015 by cerberus1 Quote Link to comment
+Windstorm+
If you view the geocache map, there's an option to turn on contour lines if you click the "map" and then "terrain" buttons in the upper right corner next to "satellite." Based on the contour lines, you should be able to see which caches are above 2500m. Quote Link to comment
+bflentje
Couldn't you drop a local PQ into GSAK and then run the Elevation Update Macro? Quote Link to comment

cezanne
I want to find caches in Europe situated higher than 2 500 meters. Are you interested into cheap options to obtain a higher level of the "head-in-the-clouds-award" badge (some Alpine caches can be reached by car or cablecar) or in caches which involve a hike which leads to a level above 2500m? In any case project-gc allows you what you want to look for, e.g. countrywise Austria http://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation?country=Austria&submit=Filter Germany http://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation?country=Germany&submit=Filter Switzerland http://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation?country=Switzerland&submit=Filter France http://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation?country=France&submit=Filter Italy http://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation?country=Italy&submit=Filter Spain http://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation?country=Spain&submit=Filter Edited April 1, 2015 by cezanne Quote Link to comment

knowschad
Couldn't you drop a local PQ into GSAK and then run the Elevation Update Macro? Yes. I helped Team Dennis figure that out a couple years ago when he was trying to meet a challenge cache for altitude. Quote Link to comment
