hiding a cache

Why do not all reviewers follow the rules on placing a cache? I was just told I can't publish my cache because it suggests going inside a business and looking around however there are several others around me that are inside a business and all the Hatfield and McCoy pig caches are linked to the house owned by Wendy so I don't understand why some let you and some don't. Any ideas?

It suggests going inside a bussiness and looking around. That's obviously promoting the bussiness, trying to get someone to buy something. That's different from having to go in to find the cache. Anyway there's the no precedent thing in the guidelines. Basically saying just because something has or has not been allowed in the past is not reason or justification that it will or will not be allowed in the future. Also those caches may not have said they are in are in bussiness, where as you did. The reviewer judges by the cache page, not by going out and actually finding them. So naturally some caches will fall through the cracks.

Then there's the obvious answer; if you want to know why someone did something, ask that person. So did you ask your reviewer?

Wendy's Hatfield McCoy caches are part of an offical geotour, and paid advertisement through Groundspeak.

It's possible that the reviewer did not realize that those hides were inside at the time of publication.

Unless they're from roughly 2006 or earlier, they're NOT grandfathered; they'd likely be disabled for a move outside if a reviewer were made aware.

Caches that are part of GeoTours, like the Hatfield McCoy House Tour, which are purchased through Geocaching.com, may be granted some leeway with regard to the guidelines.
