St. Louis Area missing trackables and failure to rehide caches properly (Friendly Reminder)

In the St. Louis County area, I've recently found several caches that have been left uncovered with the geoflage sitting next to them and several more that had trackables listed in the inventory that were not actually located in the cache. This is a friendly reminder to the local Geocachers (especially the new ones) to be sure to put the caches back how you found them and if the person before you failed to do so, please correct the problem so that cache doesn't get muggled (stolen or destroyed by non-Geocachers). Also please remember to log all trackables (Travel Bugs, Geocoins, ect.) on the Geocaching app/website when you pick them up and drop them off so that they can be accurately tracked. If you notice that another Geocacher has failed to do these things, please send them a polite private message on the website to inform of the issue and how to prevent it from happening in the future.

You are asking the impossible, here.

A person making a Find on a cache today, has no idea whatsoever where the cache was hidden yesterday, the week before nor even a month before.

...unless of course, they are gifted with certain powers that most of us do not possess.

Hiding it "better than how you found it" really doesn't solve the problem, either. As that leads to a phenomenon known as Cache Migration (a fairly common occurrence).

True... it would be nice if everybody did replace it where it ORIGINALLY was, but they don't always. I don't expect things to change along those lines anytime soon.
