sat map 10 and finding caches

I use the satmap. When you see the cache icon, use the little joystick to scroll over and hover over it and press the joystick down - scroll through the options in the little bubble that pops up and select the one with the cache name - the cache page should pop up, and then use the bottom right side button to select 'set as goto' - the map pops back up again with a blue circle where you are, and orange one over the cache and a blue directional line in between - as you get closer the distance (Dst) counts down.

Alternatively, press the bottom left button to centre on your position - it will then show you a line pointing in direction of movement - you can set up the 4 boxes at the bottom to show you 'goto dist' which maybe easier to keep the correct direction as you get closer!

It is actually not complicated to do - just difficult to explain by typing!

Hi

The Satmap Active 10 is a great tool for geocaching, once you have loaded the gpx files through Satsync find the icon on the map screen. Manoeuvre the pointer over the icon and press the toggle button, the "choose information" menu appears. Click on the cache name, the cache page appears, now click the bottom L/H button and press GOTO. Using the bottom R/H to scroll through to the compass page click the bottom R/H button again and then just follow the arrow.

Happy Caching
