+on4bam
https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/into-sports/handheld/rino-755t/prod534007.html Don't know where you're from but illegal in EU. Specs for radio range are at least "a bit optimistic" Quote Link to comment
ohgood
i guess it's going to take a few more generations before real updates happen with Garmin and the inreach hardware is adopted? 2016, still can't Bluetooth or wifi a file. Quote Link to comment

"You need a new pony." X2 Have you seen the Rino 6xx series? You don't think this is an upgrade? This took the Rino series from an Oregon 400 w/radio to an Oregon 700 w/radio. Not sure if you really know what your talking about when it comes to the Rino series but I do know your axe should be plenty sharp by now. Edited August 4, 2016 by yogazoo Quote Link to comment

+Mineral2
Some people expect a GPS to do everything a smart phone can. I blame Apple for setting these expectations when they took a perfectly good music player and made it into a smartphone without the phone part. Quote Link to comment
Pacific NW
Thanks for the heads up! I'm hoping that Garmin brings out an updated model to replace the Foretrex 401, adding in GLONASS support. What the heck, one can dream, right? Quote Link to comment
yogazoo
The new Rino's are now shipping and I have a pair on the way. From my understanding, it's basically an Oregon 7xx defaulted to Classic Mode but with the addition of radio features. And great radio features at that. The new Rino shares the same capacitive screen and same UI as the Oregon 7xx. Camera and LED flashlight/flash. The only thing it lacks from the Oregon 7xx is WIFI capabilities. Bluetooth, yes. I'm fine without WIFI on an outdoor device that has so many high-end two way communication features and position sending capabilities. Quote Link to comment
+Cheminer Will
Will the radio communication feature of this unit work with all other brands? In other words, you would be able to use the Rino to talk to another FRS user with say a cheap Motorola radio? Or to another licensed GMRS user on their other brand? Thanks! Quote Link to comment

So to confirm, for approx $100.00 additional for the Rino 755T, you get the same function as a Oregon 750T? (minus WIFI) Size shown on Garmin site is a touch wider and thicker but almost 3-1/2" taller. Is this 3-1/2" additional height mostly antenna with the body being similar? How does it feel in hand to you compared to the Oregon? Thanks again. Edited August 28, 2016 by Cheminer Will Quote Link to comment
+northernpenguin
Question I have is, they broke Geocaching Live on the Oregon 7xx .... does it work on the Rino 7xx at the moment? Quote Link to comment
