+mirmic
Hello Dear geocachers community I have a Garmin Etrex 20x with the following problem: In an approximation of a cache, the display freezes pretty much exactly one at 10M distance. Do you have that? Here are a few technical details: - Garmin eTrex 20x SW: 2.30 - Maps: Worldwide Map, Garmin TopoActive Map, Topo D 2010 Open Topomap - the problem occurs on all maps, even if only ONE Map is installed - Ext.Speicher: SanDisk Extreme 16GB - Geocaches Pocket Query loaded (500p) - 2x rechargeable batteries Eneloop Do you also have these problems? Or have you can fix this? If so, I would appreciate an answer. Quote Link to comment
Pacific NW
One suggestion would be to try a factory reset (after backing up your data first). Also, you might try removing any caches that you have loaded, and try loading just one or two to the GPS and see how it performs when navigating. Sometimes the pocket query .GPX files get corrupted. +mirmic
many thanks for your response. your given tips I've tried (reboot and factory reset). the pocket queries every week to be renewed, so it should it also be not. For more tips I would be grateful. But i also will try only load one or two Caches as .gpx . I also will give response if does this works or not. Quote Link to comment
+HHL
------------- Hello HHL I invite the pocketqueries of GC.com and unpack then (since zipped). Then I then push the GPX. File in the GPX folder on the GPS via a USB cable. The GPX. Files are otherwise in the device memory and not on the SD card. I have to try it with the proximity alert, that would be mal ne idea. Thanks for that. Quote Link to comment
