Garmin Drive internal storage size

Can anyone tell me...

Has Garmin finally started making automotive GPS units with enough internal storage to update the map without needing a microSD card? What's the size of the internal flash storage of the new Drive series? (I assume that the Drive, DriveSmart, etc... could have different specs)

Ok. Good to know. The last one I bought was a Nuvi 1350 LMT oh... 4 or 5 years ago, and it only came with 2 GB of internal storage. The full map (US + Canada) is shy of 3GB. Makes me wonder how they got the original map on the internal storage, but i was kinda annoyed that I couldn't do a full update without a card. Fast forward and last week, we somehow lost the card in the device, and thankfully they now cost $6, but it got me thinking about maybe upgrading the device (or buying a second one so we each have one in our cars).

On another note, the Nuvi will get my 8GB class 4 card and my Oregon will get the 16 GB class 10 card that I just ordered, so I see the mishap as an excuse to "upgrade" my oregon's capabilities. I'm hoping it'll read the data faster with the faster card, though I just noticed that the card is nearly full with a few big maps on there, so that might be compromising performance too.

My several year old 2595LMT has 8 GB of memory.

A couple of map updates ago, I did get a warning that all of the maps for North America could not be loaded so I loaded Canada and the Northern US states in that case.

The space warning did not show up on any further map updates.

I recently switched my device to mass storage mode from MTP and deleted the voices that weren't being used, to free up a little more space.
