Montana 680t questions

I just purchased a Montana 680t to replace my Oregon 450t that died in July. I can't find any reference as to how many waypoints/caches the 680t can hold. Does anyone know? Also, do you have any hints or tips about using the Montana 680t that you've found along the way while using yours?

I believe it's still 12,000 (though it doesn't make sense why Garmin would update the Montana line and not remove geocache restrictions as it's done on other lines).

It's 12,000 with GPX files and unlimited with GGZ files.

Still seems odd since the Montana are supposed to be at least as powerful, if not more, than the Oregon and gpsMAP series.
