+Fussybritches
I purchased a bundle package with the Garmin 64s. It came with a free 24k Topo map and a 4GB microSD card. I kinda don't know what I am doing and the instructions really don't give me much direction. I knew I wanted to install any updates, which I did. I then went to download the free map after I registered and it is telling me that I do not have enough space to dl the map. So I put in the 4GM microSD card and tried again and still didn't have enough room. Then I notice that the actual map takes up 8GB. So..why in the heck would they give me a microSD card that wont accomplish downloading the map it also came with? Am I missing something? Do I need to go out and buy a microSD card that will fit the map and whatever other maps I would like to put on it? And once I figure this part out...what next? I need to figure out how to get caches on it. Thanks! Fussy Quote Link to comment
+Atlas Cached
In short, yes. Get a 16GB or 32GB card, they can be had for less than $20 - and don't worry about high speed cards, they are not any faster in a Garmin GPSr. Just be sure the card is formatted FAT32 (not exFAT) then start playing with your GPSr! Good Luck! Quote Link to comment

I have a drawer full of them (and 8GB) - don't use them at all..... Quote Link to comment
