+One-O-7
Hello community, I am 10 days into the hobby with very little to show for yet...I live in Pennsylvania, USA but I am in Berlin, Germany this coming weekend with both days available for geocaching. If anyone wants to get together to geocache around the Berlin area post here and we can find a way to meet and have some geocaching fun!!!! Unfortunately though, I don't speak German... I have a car and GPS...driving, lunch and gasoline will be on me.... Quote Link to comment
+captnemo
You might try dropping the cache owners in the area an email Quote Link to comment
+wmpastor
GL, & grab the opportunity while you're there. Sort by favorites and easiness, since you're new. Quote Link to comment
+Ben0w
Asking in the country specific part of this Groundspeak forum may help ("German-Speaking Forum"). Maybe google for "geocaching berlin" or something similar to identify a local internet forum, where you can ask for contact. Most Germans speak english, don't hesitate to ask in english. Have fun in Berlin! Quote Link to comment

Have fun in Berlin! A couple of years ago I had an overnight layover in Zurich where German is the predominate language. There was an event (actually there was a CITO and WWFM event the same day) that I was interested in attending and posted a note asking if there would be any English speaker in attendance. I got several responses, including one from a couple that had lived in the U.S. who ended up meeting me prior the flash mob event, walked around the city with me for a bit more caching, then accompanied me using local transportation to the event. Lots of people came up to me to meet he guy that traveled from the U.S. to attend the event and it was probably on of the most enjoyable days I've had geocaching. I also spent a few days in Hamburg last year and did some geocaching each day and may total lack of understanding German was never an issue. Quote Link to comment
