Lost Place geocaches

I picked up a TB today which originated in Germany and has a mission to visit Lost Places. Having investigated a bit it looks as though Lost Places are a particularly German theme with a certain following in Scotland. Has anyone got any suggestions for somewhere which fits this theme in south west England? I thought of Imber but it's very restricted so I thought I'd throw it open for suggestions. Thank you!

I was always told that you shouldn't advertise your own caches - but rules are meant to be broken :D

I have one (GCR6XE) about 7-8 miles SW of Swindon in Wiltshire - and it's certainly a lost place

Best of luck

No 'Rule' but it has been considered 'Bad Form' to use the forum to 'Promote' your own cache...

However, if you are helping someone who is looking for a certain type of cache. ;)

(So long as you haven't put them up to it, or it's you using a sock! )

Thank you for the list. Oddly there are none in Somerset which would have been ideal but it gives me some ideas to search before I look at going further afield. I did see the Snap cache after I had a look through the list, it's definitely a possibility.

Thank you all.
