Stealth Required?

Wear camo, paint your face black, and stick fresh leaves in your hat. Then crawl on your belly to the cache and under no circumstance let the muggles see you. Sign log, crawl back to car, and peel out. Don't forget to cover up your license plate.

Just kidding, means there are usually a lot of people around that might mess with the cache if they see you find or replace it.

In your absence geocaching has changed a lot. Rather than most caches being hidden in scenic spots in the woods, they are now largely micro containers hidden in high traffic areas like shopping malls, pocket parks and Burger King parking lots. Because they are high traffic areas you have to be stealthy to bag the cache without being spotted.

I attempt to ignore muggles but not always the case. I picked up a travel bug and a TB Hotel just east of Nashville. While coming out of the woods, I noticed a man in a truck looking at me, he drove up close to where I came out and studied it hard. At first I thought it may have been another cacher, but it wasn't. I went about my way.

I just use my digital camera and tripod. Ahhh, the perks of being an amature photographer. Put a camera in front of your face, nobody sees you. Clean up the area... nope, not there...look for a nice background...nope not there...take a picture of the nice girl and her boyfriend and e-mail it to her....ok, they're gone, is it there...hehehe. Of course, i'm lousy at finding stuff, so at least I get some pictures.
