+Ed Zeppelin Posted May 1, 2016 Share Posted May 1, 2016 Hi, I know this is not a Garmin support page, but I need help...my Garmin e-trex was working just fine...until I tried to load coordinates from my Mac to the e-trex...I have done this many times in the past, but this time it prompted me to update the SW...and I did...the SW update was taking a very long time, like at least 15 minutes...so in my infinite wisdom I powered the GPS off...and now it will no longer power on or communicate with my Mac. I followed some online support from Garmin for just such a circumstance, but nevertheless, my e-trex seems DOA...it will not turn on (flickers once with the push of the on button) and no recognition of the device by the Mac when running the Garmin web updater SW...anyone else find themselves in such a predicament? I'd hate to think my device is now forever destroyed by a simple SW update malfunction...thanks in advance for any advice... Quote Link to comment
+hzoi Posted June 2, 2016 Share Posted June 2, 2016 If you powered down the GPSr during a software update, it may no longer have an operating system. Might have to send it to Garmin to resuscitate. Quote Link to comment
