I have found a GeoCoin in a Cache. The person who had it before me grabbed it from someone else,they then have placed it and moved the GeoCoin to their collection thus only allowing me to Write a Note or Discover the Geocoin.

 

I have e-mailed the user in question to ask nicely if they could drop it so I can move it on but not had a response as yet. Is there anything else I can do??

Drop it in a cache and in your discovery note put what you did. You have done all you can do unless the great goddess of travelers (Eartha ) comes along and adjusts it for you.

If indeed they have moved it to their Collection, having them drop (or place) it does you no good whatsoever. It is still in their Collection, hence your log choices would be the same as they are now.

 

If they are newbies and just don't know better, perhaps an email offering to 'help' with their logging technique would be better than simply asking them to "drop" it.

 

If they still don't respond... well, that's the way it is....

Discover it and say you have it in your inventory, then just wait and see what happens.
