+jonny the fox
Can I buy a MemoryMap package and send the map to my Oregon 550? I have a 1:25k MemoryMap of Scotland, which I dont think I will ever use, but dont really want to buy a South West one if I cant use it. Is it easy to transfer maps onto the SD card? I cant seem to work out how to do it or what format the map needs to be in. Many thanks Jon Quote Link to comment

+Bear and Ragged
Talkytoaster does free maps for Garmin, based on OpenStreetMaps link in the UK and Ireland forum... Quote Link to comment
+Graculus
The page in my resource site about GPS receivers explains what maps you can use on a Garmin or Magellan GPS - UK specific. Talky Toasters maps based on Open Street Maps are excellent and not at all expensive. The Garmin OS maps are very expensive. And, as stated you can't transfer the maps from Memory Map to the GPS. But.. if you use GSAK you can load Pocket Queries into Memory Map to display the caches on your PC. Details also on my site, the page on Paperless caching.
