ConchyJoe
Hi Everyone! I'm fairly new to this, only under 10 finds in the last 4 days. BUT, I'm attempting to plant my first geocache in NYC. It seems that the radius apart from each other is the problem. There are so many good locations in NYC, but a lot are within a block or two of each other. Is there a way to plant a geocache within two blocks of each other? I'm finding it a little hard to plant it near to my location so I can maintain it. Even though there may be 5-6 blocks of available space, there may not be a good place to plant it!! Can anyone offer any assistance? Or it is what it is as far as the radius rules? Thanks!!! :D Quote Link to comment
RuideAlmeida
You must comply with the rule of 528ft for any physical point of a cache. But you may place multi-caches or puzzles with closer distances on the published coordinates, as long they are not physical, placing the final on less crowded areas. Use some available information on location, by instance (inscriptions on monuments, permanent billboards, signs, etc.). Edited October 7, 2014 by ruidealmeida Quote Link to comment

ConchyJoe
I will say, in Midtown Manhattan, it's a little tough since blocks are lined with office buildings! But, I guess I can figure something creative out. Quote Link to comment
