+HomeyJay
I just want to say that I've just got a Garmin 650T and have downloaded a bunch of caches nearby, so I'm very new to all this! I've found a couple but have realised that there's no 'hint' or 'clue' option in the cache's description on the Garmin but there is on the geocaching.com website! Ive found reviews of the device that clearly show screenshots of a screen with a hint question mark and a few other buttons. I've also see another screen shot which seems to let the device know when you've found the cache / not found it etc. Both these screens don't seem to be on my device! Can anyone please help - I've probably setup my device incorrectly or messed something else up. I downloaded my caches from the geocaching.com using a pocket query (I think that was what it was called!) and then transferred the files to my device. Please help if you can! I think you have to have cache chosen on the unit for it to display the hint. This site shows a "show hint" option, once you are "navigating" to the cache: http://gpsinformation.info/penrod/Montana/Montana.html B. Quote Link to comment
+HomeyJay
Thank you Pup Patrol! You're absolutely right, You have to actively navigate to the cache and only then, if you go back into the Geocaching 'app' will the 1st tab be activated and showing the hints, log etc etc. I couldn't find any reference to that in the manual but I may well have missed it! Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
+on4bam
I couldn't find any reference to that in the manual but I may well have missed it! That's why this is a better place to find stuff about the Oregon. Quote Link to comment

Thanks again! No problem. I checked the full owner manual, and no, it doesn't mention how to get to the logs or hints. Helpful, huh? I remember previous posters here saying that is how you get to the hint, and then I found that website with the screenshot. Glad to help. B. Quote Link to comment
