+Rebhiker
I have had a Magellan eXpolristGC GPS for a few years and I use to be able to download geocaches from www.geocaching.com, but recently I can no longer do that. I even uninstalled the Magellan Communicator and reinstalled it, to no avail. A note comes up that says that Chrome does not support the plugins. I had problems in the past with pliugins, where I had to go turn them on again, but I cannot remember how to do this, and it sounds like even if I did it would not work. My GPS is only a couple of years old, I cannot imagine it already being so out of date that it will not work with the newer software. Quote Link to comment
+SageTracey
As a premium member you can do a Pocket Query and then just copy the files to your Magellan. That's what I do because I have never been able to get the communicator to work. Alternatively, try using a different browser. Quote Link to comment
+geodarts
There are numerous threads about problems with the communicator, mostly using Windows 10. There are security problems with the underlying code so browsers are eliminating support for it. I do not know what Operating system or browsers you have tried, but this Thread discusses the problem and there are reports of being able to get the communicator to work. Still,as mentioned above, as long as the computer recognizes your gpsr as a device, you can use the GPX button to save the cache information directly to the geocaches folder in your unit. You can also load pocket queries into your unit the same way. This is probably the method of the future. Quote Link to comment
