+huntbruce
We are working on our first cache placement. For parks and public lands that already have caches, do we still need to get perdition before placing a cache of our own? Thanks, Bruce Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
If you're hesitant about asking the park managers (open space/parks & recreation), you could email one of the cachers in these areas and ask what the placement rules are (if there is any). Just because there are already caches in place, doesn't mean there isn't a policy they (and you) have to abide by. Quote Link to comment
+Touchstone
Link for reference: Geocache Wiki - Alabama The link above will give you some idea of what some of the local Land Managers in your area require (judging from your Profile information). It's not an exhaustive list, but it's a good start. Good luck! Quote Link to comment

(pərˈdiSHənl. /noun(in Christian theology) a state of eternal punishment and damnation into which a sinful and unpenitent person passes after death. No permission? You get perdition! Thanks, Bruce It varies, with some parks having an established procedure or form and some placements being okay by virtue of the "frisbee doctrine" (I.e., if you can play frisbee there, implied permission for recreation including caching is assumed and implied). Check with the area reviewer who knows local nuances. Quote Link to comment

Make sure you have permission from the land owner or manager. Quote Link to comment
