+HDA420
I have a Garmin gpsmap 60CSx I've had it for almost 8 years now and never have had a problem until now. I have a new computer and loaded everything correctly now every time I try and send a Cache to my GPS it says "Geocache GC44PQF.gpx saved successfully" but nothing is sent to my device, Anyone else have this problem? My Communicator Plugin is up to date. Edited July 26, 2015 by HDA420 Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
Are the caches over 100 miles away? If so, it's the Garmin issue where caches beyond a certain distance are hidden. It's a feature, not a bug . If not, try turning the GPSr off, then back on, then allow it to reacquire satellites. There are other ways to not see caches even if they seem to load just fine. But start with that. Edited July 26, 2015 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

Did you do a search by name? 2.) it did save, but under Waypoints instead of in Geocaches. This has happened to me on occasion. B. Edited July 26, 2015 by Pup Patrol Quote Link to comment

On my desktop PC, I have to either click "Eject" (which I never seem to do ), or wait a minute for the files to "close" after loading. Otherwise, Windows sees the file just fine, the Garmin does not. This doesn't go wrong every time, of course. Also, you can conveniently tell the GPSr to not show whole sets of caches, with a few simple clicks that you didn't realize you clicked. +HDA420
Well figured it out, It was indeed sending them to the waypoints, no idea why but that's where they are. Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment

I thought, at one point in time, that I had figured out why it was sending to Waypoints. But I have forgotten by now if I had come up with a reasonable explanation. I think it might have had something to do with extra waypoints, like parking areas or trail heads. It hasn't done it in a while...oops, probably just jinxed myself. Glad you've got it worked out. B.
