+Kelbylew
Hi, I have an area that has cleared a saturation check and I want to plant a number of small camo caches. Can the eTrx30 be used to set a start point and then measure 160 meter from the point I am at, so I can accurately place the caches along the route? Gavin. Quote Link to comment
insig
You can use Sight 'n Go -- project a waypoint 160 m in a specified direction. Quote Link to comment
+MartyBartfast
Mark a waypoint and then set the Etrex to navigate to it, then as you walk away from it the distance will increase, stop when the distance reads 161m. Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
I would not cut it to close. Add a few meters between. It would be a shame to do a series and find a couple refused because they are to close and your gps was a little of. Quote Link to comment

+JohnCNA
You can also set a proximity circle to appear around waypoints that shows on the map. I have found that to be helpful a couple of times when I was placing new caches. Or trying to guess where a puzzle/multi solution might be. Quote Link to comment
