Strave
Does anyone have/know of/ able to make a geocaching "Informative pamplete" flyer? There are not very many active members in my area as of late and was hoping to get some new players. I talk to people about it and no one has ever heard of it so I thought if I were to advertise it in some way we may get some new people. Has anyone had any luck doing something like this? Or any other thought or idea's regarding this? Edit because definitions were updated lol Edited August 22, 2015 by Strave Quote Link to comment
+niraD
Groundspeak has some downloadable brochures and other resources available here: http://www.geocaching.com/tools/ Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
...Or any other thought or idea's regarding this? niraD offered a good source of information of the hobby/game. - Maybe it's just me, but I'd think you might have a few folks interested if you didn't say you'd like to show them this propaganda. +Path Pacer
Why not put an ad in the local weekend events paper to meet for lunch somewhere? Give a quick paragraph about what it is, then invite them to join you to talk about it further. Quote Link to comment

Maybe just an informative pamphlet... Quote Link to comment

+Mitch2742
I live in Boston, and everyone I've talked to has had no idea what it was but sounded super intrigued when I explained. Quote Link to comment
+NYPaddleCacher
Groundspeak has some downloadable brochures and other resources available here: http://www.geocaching.com/tools/ There are other geocaching brochures that are not on that list in other languages but they're someone difficult to find. Here is one in Italian I think that one is a bit better as it explains how the game is played while the ones on the link that niraD are more promotional than informational. I could have used the one in Italian when I was stopped and questioned by a plain clothes LEO (and a higher ranking officer) after finding a cache in Rome. Neither one spoke English and I don't speak Italian. Quote Link to comment
