Jeremy
Yesterday afternoon we attempted to release an update to the web site that changed code from version 1.1 of dot net to 2.0. Unfortunately there were unanticipated issues with the site so we reverted back to the previous version. We'll do some additional tests in our staging environment to see how we can resolve these issues. Sorry for the slowness of the site that this update has caused and some errors relating to the problem with session state that was not seen in our testing. Link to comment
Jeremy
We turned on and off the upgrades again today to evaluate some changes we made based on performance observations from yesterday. We decided that we would do more testing instead of trying to go into a geocaching weekend with questionable performance. We'll continue to test in our staging environment tomorrow and Monday and will resume some live testing on Tuesday next week after most of the weekend logging is finished. Thanks again for your patience and extra thanks for your feedback regarding the changes to the site. Link to comment
Jeremy
Some travel issues have delayed a release of the updated site until tomorrow. We're working through various bugs and will have a better release tomorrow anyway. Link to comment
Jeremy
We have done some short-term releases today to check our code and make sure we're on the right track. Many issues have been resolved but we're still a ways to go before we feel comfortable with the new release. We'll post again once we have more information or if the switch is permanent. Thanks for your patience! Link to comment
