+Astro_D
Ok...so where did my post go that accompanied this topic????? Weird..... Anyway, just wanted to find the status of this project. Here in Wisconsin, I've been busy. Been in contact with our State Advisor over the summer (Who's been a HUGE help and very supportive). Got in contact with our County Surveyor who is checking into some surveying details and will be getting back to us soon. So, any progress anywhere else? +GEO*Trailblazer 1
Missouri: Progressing along,we have the Spot selected and the State Advised. We are now working on the process' of getting it into the NGS Data Base. This is up to the SWMSPS(SouthWest Capter Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors). We have had 3 meetings now and the next meeting is on the 1st Tuesday of next month. I will know alot more then. Kansas: Still in progress. New Mexico: Land has been donated to set the mark,I have been in contact with the NM State Geodetic Advisor and am in process of getting back to him. Arkansas: I am contacting now and working with Cardinal (Benchmarker in AR) on getting thatt one going. Arizona: Is hot on the trail and working on things now. The several other states I have not heard from in a while. I need to recontact them again. Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
Things are moving quickly here in Arizona...the state adviser is most enthusiastic, and the local surveying community is providing big help. I have decided to have our mark here in AZ be of some use, rather than a mere vanity mark. I have chosen a location to the southeast of Phoenix, at N 33º 11.854 W 111º 37.067, which is solid bedrock, and should be valuable for monitoring land subsidence due to groundwater pumping in the area. I am anticipating completion of this project by the end of October. Quote Link to comment
