This Program Finds the Map ID forGarmin Map Products

It can either find the ID in a gmapsupp.img file or in the registry for installed products.

If you don't want to host it on rapidshare I can host it as a tool on GPSFileDepot. http://www.gpsfiledepot.com

The program works well for finding custom map IDs but I will mention that you didn't handle the old maps (US Topo not 2008), see this:

For some reason I seem to be unable to edit my post.

Anyway, here's the updated program. It now supports legacy map products (as far as I know).

Trying both programs I found out that neither one of them sees my CN 2009NT maps. Any idea why? or is this a known bug. Al my other maps were found. (CN2008NT; CN2008; Topo Nl; Topo BE; onroute fietskaart etc)

Does this work for G2 Vision cards?I am trying to find a MapID for VCA004R in order to backup my copy.

Could you add this to another downloading site?Rapidshare is only allowing 10 d/ls because a premiunm account isn't used.
MAking this available on this site to avoid this problem.

Yep ! I am running into the same problem... RapidShare says there is a 10 D/L Maximum and it has been reached.

So.... can you make it available elsewhere ? I'm sure we would all really appreciate it.

Thanks for your help and making this file available.

http://rapidshare.com/files/199840959/Garm...p_ID_Finder.exe

This looks like the real deal but its only 24kb and the registry search and .img search is reversed from the one pictured here.Maybe someone frigged around with the original because this one did not work for me to the Map Id for VCA004R.
