OK,
So, I have a Magellan Explorist 100 GPS and would LOVE it if i could automatically download waypoints into it with a data cable like higher end GPS units do. I found an aftermarket upgrade USB Data Cable online (ebay) and was just wondering if it is compatible with geocaching.com's "download waypoints to GPS" tool. I noticed Geocaching.com is mostly promoting Garmin GPS units so I wanted to know if anyone has used this cable successfully before I order it. Thanks for reading! Karoni Macaroni! |

If you become a Premium Member you could then create Pocket Queries,. download up to 500 Caches at a time to your Explorist via the Magellan software (and that cable)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe, out of the box, the Explorist 100 supports external connection. In other words, there's no USB connectivity on that unit that allows for cable connection. All waypoints need tio be entered manually.
