Hello, I teach students with Emotional Disturbance (grades 2-5) and we went geocaching for summer school and it was a huge hit! I have our personal Garmin, but I was hoping someone out in the Geocaching world would be willing to sell me a cheap GPS. My students have extreme behavioral issues and I don't feel comfortable taking our family GPS to the school as a regular occurance. We used geocaching to focus on science standards as well as social skills. My kiddos loved it and I want to foster that this year, but I can't afford to buy one at a regular cost. Any info. would be great! Thanks for reading my post.

Sincerely,

Fremela

Have you tried garage sales? I found a yellow extrex for $7.00 this summer.

I got a new GPS this summer, so my old eTrex is looking for a good home. It isn't quite as accurate as the newer eTrex-H, but it found caches for me. Send me your address and you can have it. I will even throw in the simplified instructions we developed here at Virginia State Parks for setting up waypoints, basic navigation, etc. We printed these out and laminated them so you can attach them to the lanyard. Please reply to chuck.wyatt@dcr.virginia.gov if you are interested.

I an the original owner of a Magellan GPS 315 and I would be willing to part with it if you would like one more additional GPSr for your class. Send me a PM on this forum or an email from the Geocaching.com website and I will give you more details. Everything in the picture below will be included and if you like what you see, we can figure out the best way of getting it to you. <_<
