I was recently given a used Magellan eXplorist 500 from my Dad. He gave me cords but no software disk. I downloaded EasyGPS, and I went through the tutorial, and I could not find a way to easily add (and then be able to locate on the unit) my geocaches.
Is there something I am missing, or am I just being naive by thinking it would be as easy as iTunes? (click and drag) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

When I had my Explorist 500, I used GSAK to load geocaches. Not quite as easy as Itunes but pretty close. http://www.gsak.net |

Make sure that when you plug the cable onto your Ex 500 that the cord runs down the length of the unit. If you've plugged it in with the cable coming out the top you will not get data transfer.... again..... cable needs to run down the unit.
