Greetings fellow Geocachers
We are heading all the way for our fall break to Orlando to feed the inner child at Disney World. Now what would a vacation be without hunting a few caches. So here is an opportunity for all those locals in and around Orlando, and yes all those of you that have visited Orlando in the past, to recommend 10 caches that one should do when visiting Orlando. I also think that Groundspeak should consider making a site where these caches are listed so to assist Cacheneers (Cachers + Buccaneers = Traveling Cachers) to get the most out of their visit to a certain destination. These caches will probably be places of interest and scenic areas. Hope to hear from all of you.
Regards
Volkswag

I can't speak about Orlando but I can tell you that about an hour and a half drive from you there are hundreds of caches placed by the infamous infiniteMPG around the Sarasota area. There was a chapter written about him in the book The Joy of Geocaching. A photo of him caching was also used on the 2007 Florida Geocaching Association coin.

A lot of his hides are brutal and very creative.

You'll get different answers from different cachers, and as far as Groundspeak listing a "Top 10" list... well the concept of a rating system comes up from time to time and I don't really see it getting anywhere at the moment. Another idea has been some sort of top X list of caches that each cacher would maintain that would somehow highlight caches that most people seem to enjoy.

But since you asked... there are, of course the remaining Virtuals that are actually in each of the four main parks. Here's one that is a little ways east of Orlando, but still very enjoyable:

See Cows? Virtual- closer to Tampa than Orlando, but still a cool spot to see.

Blue Man, an Orlando local has created a bookmarked list, Your Orlando Vacation

A mix of things, most of which I have not found. I hear very good things about Fear Factor Urban Wetlands

Well, if you're going to the theme parks, there's always the virts there. Easy peasy.

I've gone to Destination Disney World. That's a pretty cool cache, located in Celebration.

Ditto the vote for Fear Factor Urban Wetlands. Great multi! Others that I thoroughly enjoyed include M&M-183 Wherigo Whenican't...Downtown Disney, Key To The Wetlands, Bee Head Ranch Time Capsule and, (just to blow my own horn), The Etch-o-Sketch Night Cache
