Is anyone aware of innovative applications of Apple mobile devices (iPod touch, iPad, and/or iPhone) in science education, especially geoscience-related applications such as geocaching?

Hi
I work with the Macquarie ICT Innovation Centre in Sydney and we have a mobile learning project using Iphones as field tools for image capture and image upload to flickr before going back into the classroom. The iphones also use LAMS software and mappo to create lessons that pop up on the iphone when the students enter a 20m radius of a coordinate.
Also there is a trial using iphones and more of the gps/geocaching/earthcaching angle at the Sydney Botanic Gardens and a video can be found here
