Think about it what you might miss !!!

News from the GCF2011 EU Shopsite !

Have a look into the shop. Pictures from the GCF2011 EU eventcoins are out !

GCF2011 EU shop

We have come out with the "How will the event coins look like" !

The coins can be purchased right now. Either you pick them up at the event days or the week before.

For those who cannot attend the events, shipping will be done from Monday on after the event.
Shipping costs up to 8 coins will be for overseas and non-EU countries 3,45 euro
By ordering your eventcoins, please note in the comment "shipping to my adress after the event".

The story:
We have decided to express our philosophy in what is Geocoinfest about.
The whole community of cachers and geocoinfriends will meet "here the people meet from all over the world from different cultures with the same hobby"
Therefore we found our slogan "Find Friends - Finde Freunde" .
The coins represent the community meeting each other and being around the Geocoin, which is represented in the middle.
You will see Europe on the main edition and on the other edition you see our cathedral and our city flag of cologne.

The coin is produced by "Sepp & Berta" mygeocoin.de and as you all know the producer stands for brilliant quality.

As I do now have the sample coins and after fixing some details the preorder is opened and so are the pictures ready to show.

We do hope that you like this design and the story behind it.

Team GCF2011 EU

In case of questions I will do by tomorrow.
Good night

Will anyone have a personal coin for the event? Was contemplating debuting a new Avroair Aviator earlier than normal.

Thanks to CacheAddict for the great work and many thanks to Nosnow for his support, who made it possible to sell some in the US, for saving shipping and customs costs !

I don`t need to mention that they are trackable with its own icon.

The Cachekinz are really big, same as the official event coins which you can get here: Event Coins

The size of the Cachekinz is 2" inch (50mm)

Only 46 days to go until GCF2011 EU !!!

We have now shut down the application for vendors. We do have 20 shops attending and it looks great!

We do have enough space, tables and benches in the middle and will have an area (signed) for trading geocoins and pathtags.

Nearly 1700 will attends for sunday, are right now representing over 2500 people. Wow guys, that will be a superb day! It looks like a german geowoodstock!

If you haven`t placed your Event Geocoin order yet, do so! I don`t need to tell that you do a great support for our organisation !

Event Geocoins will be send out to those who cannot attend after the event. Just place a comment in your order.

Order Eventcoins: Eventcoins

Besides the Eventcoins we do have the Event Cachekinz out and those can be ordered ahead of the events.

Cachekinz look here: Cachekinz

If you do have questions about the event please contact me.

Thank you very much for your support in hosting the biggest event in europe this year.

News for the 1st. GEOCOINFEST Europe !

New Forum Title !

We finally worked it out!

In close contact to Groundspeak, many thanks from here, we finally have set up a seperate Forum subject, which is MEGA.

Here you will find the first subforum GEOCOINFEST 2011 EU.

Here: GCF2011 EU Forum

We have now reached the possibility for all, who will attend the GCF2011 EU in Cologne/Germany to post there wishes, like what they would like to cache. Please do write your posts in english, we all will understand. The communication will then be over PM`s .
We do not want to have Waypoints or other Cache details written in the forum. This will be done over the private mails.

We have opened 2 section topics, such as "Caching Offers" and "Searching for other Cachers" (like looking for cache company).

Local Cachers have access and will try to figure out what specials can be done between the programm or before or after.

We do have some interessting "night caches" , "climbing caches" and of course many Multi`s and loads of Tradi`s. Just have a sneak view into the Map of Cologne.

We have sold out all event packages.
We might have a little no. left for the event

Eventcoins can still be ordered, same with T-shirts, but for those I would hurry.

For the great looking Eventcoins and the huge Cachekinz, see my info earlier.

For questions just contact me.

Almost another 4 weeks to go, and we are eagerly waiting for YOU ALL to come savely to cologne !!!

The last 28 days will begin until the doors for the 1st. GEOCOINFEST 2011 EU will open.

Right now we have 1833 "will attends" !

Will it be possible to get the 2000 wa`s ? It depends on YOU !

I guess Geowoodstock IX will be unreachable, but it would be great to make the GCF2011 EU to the second MEGA worldwide to reach the 2000 "will attends".

Tell everybody about the big happening in Köln / Cologne -Germany-

Today we have received the eventcoins and they are really worth being special under the main theme "Find Friends".
They look amazing good and incase you haven`t reserved yours, get your coins. Shop: Shoplink

In case you can`t attend, we will ship (+shipping costs) after the event has taken place. (just place a comment into your order -shipping-)

Well count the days and we are happy to welcome so many of you around the world.

And many thanks to Groundspeak, the event souvenir is ready for GCF2011 EU !

NEWS !!!

In case you want to go caching in Cologne and the area.

That all our visitors can use the fitting card material for the GCF2011, Garmin has offered us the topo card for the greater area of Cologne.

The north border is Haan and the south border is Siegburg. In the east Overath and in the west shortly after Kerpen.

Those going on the bustour should have the countries on their topo.

Use the Link:

Garmin Cologne area
(save with right tap on mouse)

it is a 48 MB big gmapsupp.img data. the best is you load them on an extra micro sd chip card so you don`t have to save all the other data.

We thank Garmn for this possibility and the other license holder to make this possible.

The whole understands that it is on your own risk

sorry for my english but technical words are not really my thing. In case you have better texture to use, just mail me.

Yes, of course every one will get a gpx file that morning before the busses will start. There will be even a T5-good morning-breakfast-event before the busses will leave. :D
There will be a Wherigo cache to be solved while at the bus, this will be given out as well.

It will be really MEGA !

Even the other events are great and we changed location for Meet & Greet Event and rented the same locaction where the GCF 2011 EU is.

So both Events Meet & Greet and GCF2011 EU will be at the same place and it is just opposite the street so just a jump !

These news we have on our website.

GCF2011 EU

Eventcoins are still in the shop and will be shipped after the events. GCF2011 EU The Shop

So get yours, if you haven`t.

Hm, and what about those, who do not have internet access from Friday morning on? Like me?
It will take me some time to upload the files to my GPS (at the moment I do not even have a topo map of Europe for my Garmin Dakota 20  ) - and now it seems, I won't have any chance to prepare the route...
I know that there are many other cachers on the busses and we won't have any problems with finding the caches, when there are so many helping hands, but nevertheless I would prefer to have all waypoints saved on my own GPS device...

We are really looking forward to the bus tour and hope, we will find a way to get to the starting point from our hotel in Mühlheim :D

I have not received any information on the bus tour. I also did not get a confirmation letter for the tour. I don't know where the tour starts from. When do we get this information? I will leave for Europe soon...

We will close the Shop for Geocoinfest2011 EU by sunday night 12 p.m. -german time-
Shoplink: GCF2011 EU SHOP

Those who have already ordered their eventcoins for shipping out after the event, PLEASE send me an email over my GC-account with your full name, amount of coins and which ones, so I can find you better among those bookings.
I will then separate those before the little rest is going to the events.

Those who would like to them have the chance until tommorow night.

Thanks a lot so far for all your support.

And 500 others. Then got up at4am for a birthday and 5 country bus tour, again with the lackeys. Drove to the meet and greet, which was held in a concert hall. The main event was amazing, huge!
