Iphone 4
Version 4.2.10
I purchased the app last week and have found it extremely slow and the UI very jerky to the point of it being largely unusable and i've gone back to using the free version which works fine and reliably in it's more limited way.
I'm running IOS 5.0.1 on an iPhone 4 and v4.5.9 of the product.
I just tried what Jackrabbit suggested here and found that switching off location services completely fixes the slow jerking UI for me.
I'm very unhappy, having spent £7 on the app, that it's so poor! As said this is a fresh installation and otherwise the apps on my phone work fine, including GPS-related ones.
Please hurry and fix this!

I searched 2 earlier today with springtomize disabled and on the second one the keyboard lag happened and, in those 2 I used 16% battery.
I don't know how or why, but ever since I jailbroke and installed springtomize I have not had the decreased performance issues with the only exception being in tests where I disable springtomize.
Recap - Stock iphone 4 with ios 5.01 and the newest geoApp = decreased performance, keyboard lag and massive battery consumption
- Jailbroken iphone 4 with iOS 5.01 and the newest geoApp = decreased performance, keyboard lag and massive battery consumption
- Jailbroken iphone 4 with iOS 5.01 with Springtomize enabled and the newest geoApp = no performance issues, lessened battery drain and zero keyboard lag
I am not endorsing jailbreaking, nor the app I used, but I am wondering why, with that particular app enabled, most all of the issues go away. Seems peculiar, but I have proven it time and again. Really odd...

It would be nice to have an update from the developers of the app. or from someone else in the know on the status or potential fix for these issues.
Thankyou

If we waited for each release to be perfect before releasing, there would never be any updates at all.

I was having similar issues after upgrading the iOS to 5.1 it was so bad, on my iPhone 4 that I gave up and downgraded the iOS to 5.0.1
Ever since the downgrade I have had ZERO issue. Here's the caveat... I jail broke my phone and am able to disable multi-tasking. If I leave multitasking on, the app will still get sluggish. Not as bad as it did before they fixed it, but enough to annoy me. If I shut off multitasking, the app performs flawlessly!

Reboot my phone. It keeps doing it no matter how many times I reboot. I have a 3GS and my os is 5.1. This happens with wifi or 3G.
My on line (green) is on. Do not know how to go off line.

Ouch. Black screen, then the apple logo is not a good thing. Makes my heart sink deeply when I see it happen.
I'll start by saying hopefully you've backed up your phone recently. I've had my 3GS do this right before it died a pathetic death. I was able to resuscitate it, but not after loing 5 gig of data, including irreplaceable photos
Thank God for iCloud now.
Anyhow...sounds like an issue with your phone as opposed to the app. As buggy as the app was back on my 3GS, it never went black mid-navigation, and caused a reboot of my phone.
What's your battery at when this happens? Does this ever happen when you are recharging your phone?
You can turn your green button to red by turning data off under your settings. But what we are talking about (usually) is that we will be on wifi, or full 4g with full bars, in wide open spaces and randomly our button will be red (offline).
