This year's Geocoin Fantasy Baseball league is open for registration. Send me an email through my profile and I'll send you the league # and password. Entry is one unactivated geocoin with the pot to be divided at the end of the season. If we have 10 teams, it'll be six coins to first place, three coins to second place, and one coin to third place. All coins must be mailed to me within two weeks of the season starting as we've had trouble with coins not being sent to the winners at the end of the season.
The live draft will be Sunday, March 25th, 3:30pm Pacific, 6:30pm Eastern, etc. If you can't make those times, you can set your draft ratings and it'll auto draft for you.

Yep, we've got enough for the draft to take place. A small league but at least our teams will be stacked! =)

I would be willing to take on a second team? Or I can recruit a non-caching friend? (I would "pay" his fee)

I hesitate to allow second teams in my leagues. I'd also like to only have coiners in the league as well. I'd rather leave it as is since we have an even # of teams at this point. But if someone can recruit two more coiners and have them sign up before the draft, that'd be fine. I just don't want us to not be able to have the draft because we have an odd # of teams.

I am close to clueless here, lol.
Do our "bench" players' stats count only if one of our regulars doesn't play? And what if, say, our 3rd baseman is injured but we don't have a 3rd baseman on our bench?
It's odd how the auto draft works - it just takes the highest ranked player and doesn't bother trying to weigh that against having a balanced team. Does that work out ok?

The bench player stats do not count. If your 3rd baseman is injured and you don't have one on the bench, you'll have to drop someone on your roster to pick up another 3rd baseman.
I believe the auto pick draft will make sure you have a full team before picking the highest ranked players for your bench. So you won't end up with ten first basemen. I found this in the rules:
"The auto-pick system looks at both a player's position and ranking before making a selection. The computer looks to see which starting positions you need to fill, then selects the highest-rated player based on either our default ranking or your custom pre-draft rankings to fill one of those positions."

Thanks for the help Mauison! I tried another draft and see you are right. I guess it must have been my utility players it filled in earlier than I expected. I guess that's OK.
Anyway, I'm excited for baseball season to begin!

I just noticed that when I signed up that it put us on an uneven number of teams. If need be, since I was the last to sign in, delete my team so the draft can happen tomorrow.
