A blogger friend of mine was out hiking along the Ashuelot River in Swanzey, NH last week and came across an old geocaching ammo box. No contents. No lid. Plenty of rust. Because I blog about geocaching every now and then, he asked me to comment. He sent pictures, but I can't make out a cache ID or an owner name on the box. The cache name must have ended with "**APSON'S CACHE" (or perhaps *OAPSON'S CACHE") where I can't read the * letters.
Here's the best image I have:

I did a search and found no cache matching that name withing 15 miles of where it was found, but if the cache was delisted, it wouldn't show up anyhow. Does anyone recognize the cache or know who this might belong to?

I did some sleuthing the only way possible: I looked at nearby caches that were old, checked the old logs for local geocachers with a large number of finds, and then looked at their "geocaches, all finds" list for those which had been archived (red line thru the listing). I think I found the answer:

You are a better detective than I. That's very cool! I posted a note on the cache. It'd be awesome to reunite the owner with the remnants of this popular cache.
