Okay its been awhile since I last loaded a pocket query into my unit but this time I can't read cache descriptions. I did an update on Friday and loaded 2 new queries but now I lock up when I click on the title or cache descriptions. It goes to a blank screen and locks. I have to hind power button down for 5-10 seconds to reboot it or remove the batteries.
What do I need to do?

Same GPSr, same problem. Most of the time, it is fine, but then, once in a blue moon, it does this. What to do?

Could it be that the cache you are looking at has a huge description? I know that sometimes a huge cache description really bogs down my 450. I hope this helps

Since it has been awhile did you take the time to te the firmware. This is a long known problem that they have tried to solve and it has gotten better.
Are your pqs version 1 or 1.01. Go back to 1 for a start.
Always check for this immediately.
If you have a sdcard make sure you put then there. That way in the field you can go through the corrective procedure which is. Shut it of, remove sdcard, turn it on, shutoff, insert card, turn on, check for descriptions.

Thanks everyone. I deleted them off the unit and tried installing them on the card only to fail a few times. Googled how to put them on the card and had to use the gpx folder under garmin on the card. Hopefully I will remember that next time. Everything works good again or at least i think it does.
