eTreX30: extra topocard's won't install Mac OSX

We bought a Garmin eTrex30, thanks to http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ we added a free topocard (all perfectly legal) from Belgium with MamManager, Mapinstall & Basecamp.
Works great, but now we need to change the map to France (for a little caching vacation) I downloaded a topocard from france via http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ did everything like last time but the map won't load in base camp.
Although that MapManager says the install was successful.
So now I don't have a clue what to do about this. Any ideas?

The weird thing is, that in Basecamp there is the .gmap or .gmapi extension for the map. And in folder they use .img.
And in BaseCamp when I go and take a look to the maps in Finder and there the new maps are installed but they won't load in Basecamp.

I didn't see what kind of computer you use, but there are Mac and Windows versions of the download. Gmapi is Mac. IMG is Windows. Sounds like you have one of each. Instead of downloading to a card, you might consider downloading an installer that will "Install" the maps on your computer. You can access them faster if they are on your hard drive than if they are on a card.

Whenever I do that in Windows, it overwrites the original mapset. Guess MapManager and Finder were Mac clues. AS I read the OP Belgium is still installed, but France says it's installed. Do OSM installers work differently on a Mac? JP&CDB might be a good idea to also post your question here.
Also, not sure what you mean by topocard. MicroSD card? Topo map? I didn't think garmin.openstreetmap.nl offered topos although opencyclemap and openfietsmap do.

The weird thing is that I changed the name of the second OSM map. I have three; France, Belgium & the Nederlands. But they won't install.
I haven no idea of the OSM installers work differently on a Mac than windows. I don't have windows so I can't compare.
I have the garmin MapManager where I can install my OSM map and then I have Garmin MapInstall to install the OSM map on my device.
But I will ask my question in the OpenStreetMap Forum, maybe there will be some sort of solution.

I don't understand what you mean by "topographical card". Normally most folks here refer to "card" as meaning an SD card. You should be able to use MapInstall to load a number of maps onto an SD card. Note coggins remark about FIDs above. If you are installing multiple downloads from garmin.openstreetmaps.nl you will have multiple maps with the same FID. That's a problem and explains why they won't install. Much easier to select all the maps you want as a single download select the "RoadTrip" installer (also works with BaseCamp), and install them all at once into BaseCamp. A Mac user will need to tell you how to clean up your old OSM mapsets.
