Been away for a time.....Just purchased a new Oregon 450. Being a paid member of maritime geocache.com for many years, having trouble downloading geocaches into the new oregon. I purchased a new micro sd card for the unit and figured I would load the card with geocaches. When I first purchased my oregon, I plugged her into the pc, and started. Garmin has offered me a geocache software that comes with the unit in which I used to download caches, I find that it is not as good as being a premum member on geocaching.com. I can't seem to load caches from geocaching.com. I do my Pocket Quaries, open to download from GSAK and also Mapsourse, no luck....any suggestion would be great.
Thanks,
Bryan.

Using GSAK, with Send to GPS set up for the unit, should work...
If using a separate card, do you have the correct folder and path?..
The unit software looks for the folder, to find the files... If there is no folder, it wont see the gpx files.

As I am not seeing a new feature suggestion articulated in the OP, I am moving this thread to the GPS and Technology forum.

Take a pocket query and simply drop the gpx file into the GPX folder on your Oregon, it should then read it. No need for any software

Here's how to do it. I use a Mac but the steps are basically identical for a PC.
-------
Here is a short guide to download a single cache to a Garmin Oregon (450) on a Mac:
1.
Go to the cache page required, and click GPX File (highlighted. It should then download and is visible in the Downloads dialog box if using Safari.

2.
Go to Finder, select 'Today' from the left hand panel and find the GPX file. Select it, then press Cmd+C to copy it.

3.
Select your Garmin from the Desktop.

4.
Once the Garmin is open in finder, go Garmin -->GPX --> and then press Cmd+V to copy it.

Eject your Garmin by dragging it to the recycle bin, and now the GPX file should be on your GPS.
