Please don't misinterpret a simple rant about the use of proper nouns in spell checkers (exempli gratia, microsoft vs. Microsoft) as a personal attack directed at you.

I'm not sure why you're snapping at GG. As far as I can tell, your post had nothing at all to do with this site, so GG was correct in directing you back to your local computer. If you're post was referring to something on this site, feel free to elaborate, but I don't know of any spell-checker on this site.

All you have to do is write Geocaching. When it comes up with the red squiggly line right click on the word. You will have the option to "add to dictionary". and BOOM You're done.
And for the record I thought you were a bit harsh on GG as well, after all you can simply do it on your computer, which is easier, less time consuming, than Groundspeak changing ALL their programs that have text. Also less downtime.

Are you joking? If someone addressed you in that manor at a passing remark would you thank him for his supercilious response? He was not trying to offer a solution- the context of that was clear. A response like this:

There are always options, sometimes limited to the coding restrictions, but with some creativity and a dash of AJAX, OPENSSL support and site like GoogieSpell good things can happen.
Or, we could just chuckle at the irony of a website that flags it's own name as a spelling error and just let it go.
godspeed.

You might want to re-read your original post. You didn't suggest a spell-checking function for the website, you asked for a word to be added to an un-named spell-checker dictionary. Since this website does not have a spell-checker, the only spell-checker you could possibly be talking about had to be on your end, which is why the response you received directed you to check for solutions on your end. If you want to suggest the addition of a spell-checker to this website, feel free to start a new topic suggesting it. Otherwise, if all you want is a word added to a spell-checker dictionary, I suggest you address your question to those in charge of whatever software is doing the spell-checking. Asking in this forum won't get you anywhere.

G-G's post looked like it was asking you to add the word 'trackable' to your dictionary, I assumed because you mispelled it recently.
It does help if people make an effort to use a spell checker, but even so there is no need to get your tights in a tangle over it.

On a slightly more serious note (and I'm not so sure you are serious about this) you do realize, don't you, that the forum software is 3rd party. Not sure if it even allows a hook into a spelling checker like that "googiespell" one you suggested. If you really ARE serious, I'd suggest that life has a few bigger road bumps than misspeeling goechaing.

This is a whole lot of brouhaha over trivial stuff. And don't assume that English is everyone's first language in these forums. This is a worldwide game. Just keep reading and skim over the mis-spellings. Sometimes it's just a typo.
I find your posted photo disgusting and it comes across as an insult to Gitchee-Gummee. Not nice.

*Disclaimer: this is not meant as an insult, it's humor. Chill Out.*
I guess no one else noticed that "Gitchee Gummee" itself is a loose spelling of an Native American word, loosely spelled by H.W. Longfellow. It gives new meaning to Rodney Dangerfield's quote "Maybe you can help me straighten out my Longfellow.".
