I have a Garmin GPSMap 62st and know how to project a waypoint to find a cache, however I want to set up a projection geocache. How do I get the degrees and bearing for where I have hidden the projected cache from the posted coordinates? Any help would be appreciated.

My suggestion assumes that you know the location you want to use as the published coordinates and the location of the actual cache..

* Go to the location you want to use as the published coordinates and take a careful location reading with your GPSr.
* Do the same thing at the actual cache location.
* Plug these two sets of coordinates into the Distance tab of FizzyCalc.

It will give you the distance and bearing from the published coordinates to the cache.

Or, if you don't want to download anything (or have a Mac), there are online tools that will do the same thing, like this one.

Perfect! Thanks so much. That was exactly what I was looking for.
