You can't. Only a moderator can do that.

If you want to ask a moderator to lock a thread you started, click on the "report" button in your post and ask for it to be locked in the comments field.

Didn't have to, see post #3.
How I do it: Click on "close this topic", and hit submit. How a forum user does it, refer to post #3.
