GeoTrekker26
I have encountered the problem in the past but it was transient, zooming in or out would usually fix the issue. In both Firefox and Chrome, the cache information is not available when I hover or click on a cache. I have refreshed both, changed maps between Leaflet and Google, closed and open tabs, and zoomed in and out, all to no avail. I see the maps and the cache icons, but cannot get to the cache. System is XP SP3. Quote Link to comment

IDLookout
Ah, it works zoomed way out so that all the caches are green boxes, but once I zoom in to where you see smilies, it's no go. Quote Link to comment
piscator4
I have the same problem using Firefox 20.0.1. If i log out it works fine but once I am logged in, I cannot acces a cache! Quote Link to comment
_gc_
same here on desktop and tablet. But it has now 18 Map Sources that I dont need, I guess Groundspeak call it a feature. Most Updates make things more worse, great job, go ahead. Edited April 17, 2013 by _gc_ Quote Link to comment
The A-Team
But it has 18 Maps I dont need... Huh. Didn't realize that until you mentioned it. That wasn't in the release notes. Quote Link to comment
IDLookout
It works now, but my "hand" doesn't turn into a pointing finger yet. Just the name of the cache appears and I can click on the cache. Quote Link to comment
Team Periwinkle
same problem for me in Chrome and IE, with both leaflet and google maps. temporary work-around mentioned above works for me: zoom out so that you can't see smileys from your finds - all the caches show up as green boxes. Then they are fully functional and clickable. Quote Link to comment
_gc_
it is working now for the view I had before. The Site state is transferring data and after some minutes more caches show the info when hover over them. But I still dont see an improvement on this additional maps, OSM and OCM was good enough for me. I will see tomorrow what it does to my mobile connection. Quote Link to comment
Muddy_Puddles
Still slow, still not working correctly. Caches take ages to show up if at all and then are not clickable for even longer. A serious downgrade NOT an upgrade. Quote Link to comment

A serious downgrade NOT an upgrade. I don't think that it is anything specific to the map. This morning, (PDT), the entire site has been having periods where it is so slow that it is simply unusable. +ratcliffe
I always get this problem on a tablet when trying to use the maps. Its impossible to get the summary box up with the link. Its like the tablet doesn't let you do that (which may be the case). Its always the same, not just with the current problems. Quote Link to comment
Turweck
Same problem here. I can't use the map. It's loading about 3-4 minutes at zoom level 13. OS: Ubuntu 12.10 Browser: FireFox 20.0 Quote Link to comment
FaxeHA
Hello, I have the same Problem it is not or very slow working on MS IE10, Firefox and Android. This is a real unfunny Working FaxeHA Quote Link to comment
MarcTim+H
Still the same problem since the website update last week. I am unable to click on any icon. Besides that, the loading of the icons after moving the map or zooming in or out is very, very, very slow. It takes minutes for the icons to appear. What is going on? Is there a solution on his way? (Safari on Mac, Safari and Chrome on iPad) Quote Link to comment
PeCeH
Same problem here (UK near London). Maps load very very slowly. Few caches appear. Cannot click on cache details from map. Option in top right to toggle map views has gone missing too. Away from the maps the site is pretty sluggish, almost unusable. When will this be fixed? Using Mozilla Firefox 20.0.1 and IE 10 both on PC - Geocaching site is equally rubbish on both. Also tried Safari on iPad - got the map toggle there but otherwise same issues Edited April 25, 2013 by PeCeH Quote Link to comment

SHIFT+F5 in Firefox? Perhaps you have some bad javascript from when it was broken. If that doesn't work, close all of your tabs and make sure that the remaining tab is not a Groundspeak page, then clear your file cache/temp Internet files. Quote Link to comment
MarcTim+H
Major improvement since a few days; Thank you . It seems that Chrome on iPad is much faster than Safari. Quote Link to comment
Badger_7
Today no cache at all is shown on the map! I tried it with different browsers (IE, chrome) on Windows 7 and with chrome on Android. Seems to be a problem on your servers site. Please fix it as soon as possible! Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
MarcTim+H
Indeed, today is worse than ever. Unable to load caches, icons take ages to show up (more than 1 hour wait per map location!!!) This is no fun anymore... Please, could this problem be fixed? Quote Link to comment

New Forest spritelets
Same as others here - no caches at all showing on the map - have tried on Firefox/I.E. and also android app c:geo. Geocaching .com itself is exceedingly slow too. Quote Link to comment

londontavern
Did a hard refresh as suggested by 'Don_J' (Firefox Shift+F5, Shutdown and Restart Firefox). Although for the first loading of the site entry page, map page and a random geocache page (from the maps) it took a few extra seconds. The site now runs at its normal speedy self. Thanks 'Don_J'.
