Niantic übernimmt geocaching.com Das ist das Unternehmen, das Ingress und Pokémon GO entwickelt und auf den Markt gebracht hat. Mit Geocaching soll jetzt ein weiteres Standbein hinzukommen. Facebook ist ja schon seit einiger Zeit offizieller Partner von Groundspeak und hostet zum Beispiel die Koordinaten von Tausenden von Mysteries. Durch das neue System kann das Ganze dann noch effizienter gestaltet werden: Bei neu gelegten Mysteries können die Koordinaten automatisiert in die Listen übertragen werden und sind somit noch schneller vielen Geocachern zugänglich. Das finde ich hervorragend! Zuckerberg hat ja schon gesagt, dass die Favoritenpunkte ab sofort durch "Like it" ersetzt werden. Auch das ist eine sinnvolle Entwicklung. Ich freu mich darauf, meine Geocaches endlich bei Facebook listen zu können. Ich habe da auch schon ein paar Ideen für tolle Tradis an Kirchen und in Fabrikhinterhöfen, die dank Facebook bald die halbe Welt mit anderen teilen kann.
