Moss Trooper
Was listening to radio.. and up pops an olde tune.. thought this would be good fer geocachein.. specially Dan & Pid "When will good package fall on my side of fence" The Seekers.. Circa 1967 Moss de Boss... Sorta Quote Link to comment
Ben Pid
I would probably be laughing my head off if I understood what you meant...explain a little more Moss...I am sure it is hilarious. This evening I watched Balir Witch Project for the first time at Dan's- I havent had the fortune of seeing it before and must say I was a tad scared. I dont't think caching in the woods in the dark will ever be the same! I am really quite proud of Dan as he has seen it 5times previously and still done all the crazy things we have done after this! MAD MAN. I havent lost the touch though b4 you assume anything Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk Quote Link to comment
+jeremyp
I think "Satellite of Love" by Lou Reed would be a good theme tune ------- jeremyp The second ten million caches were the worst too. http://www.jeremyp.net/geocaching Quote Link to comment
+Chris n Maria
What about the Riddle by Nick Kershaw, "Near a tree by a River theres a hole in the ground" or perhaps Tasmin Archers "Sleeping Satelite". +Tim & June
Few of you will know of Burl Ives "Little Boxes". (they were all made of ticky tacky and were on the hillside). Thats showing our age, and no snide comments please. Tim & June (Winchester) See June, I told you that sign which said 'Unsuitable for Motor Vehicles' was wrong ! Quote Link to comment
Two Bears
If you go down to the woods today You're sure of a big suprise If you go down to the woods today You'd better go in disguise For every cacher that ever there was Will gather there for certain because This is the cache where Tim and June left a teddy If you go down to the woods today You'd better not go alone It's lovely down in the woods today But safer to stay at home The Hornet's there with his hand in a nest And Dan and Pid in bullet-proof vests Today's the day they'll probably get arrested Every cacher who's read the map Is sure of a cache today The GPS batteries are horribly flat And leading the rest astray Beneath the trees where no satellite sees They'll curse and wish they'd brought spare batteries Today's the day the cachers all lose their marbles Quote Link to comment
+The Hornet
Geobears - I'm laughing so much I've almost forgotten that my hand has swollen up to the size of a tennis ball and is burning like hell. That has got to get the prize for the true geocachers' song. +Masher
Here's one that all UK cachers will be able to identify with: "I can see clearly, now the rain has gone" by Johnny Cache (!) Mark ---------------------- I was technical once Quote Link to comment
Ben Pid
Its gotta be EYE OF THE TIGER by Survivor. +element14
When you can't get your GPSr to keep a lock (or if its permanently 35 ft adrift), then "Sleeping Satellite" by Tasmin Archer must be the one. (Once when camping in South Wales, all my radio could pick up was Atlantic 252. They only seem to have about 5 records, and this was one of them, that their absurdly named DJ, Dusty Rhoades seemed to play in between a competition, which nobody ever seemed to win!)
