Flood Control

We were talking about flood-control in this post before SirRalanN shut it down. It took him quite a while to do this, so I decided to see how long it would take me (not that I'm competitive or anything)

SirRalanN posted from 9:25pm-12:15am, roughly 3 hours

I posted from 11:21pm-11:52pm, that's only 31 minutes!

So to answer the question posed in the other thread, I don't see having 30 seconds between posts as a problem. I find it inconvenient at times, but it does prevent spammers from flooding the forums with junk.

Ugh...I just realized the picture quality stinks..darn that 100k limit! (that's another thread waiting to happen) :(

Sorry that happened, Jeremy. This thread was not intended to make "fastest posting" into a competition. Its purpose was to continue the discussion on why we do have a 30 second minimum between posts. It appears that this is a good limit as far as Spam is concerned, and only slightly annoying for those of us that can read and type fast.

SirRalanN has been restricted for posting in the forums for 5 days. I received many complaints of this behavior and it will stop. Now.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I dropped a hint last night that was not all that subtle. I guess I should have used a brick. It is sad that it takes a brick to get the point across sometimes. Let me know if you need any more Jeremy.

Funny.

He hasn't stopped posting.......

You must have missed his apology post that he started and locked right away to prevent responses. He was eventually given a 10% warn and no ban (according to that post)
