+CetusGPS
Hi, Just a little information for all you avid Geocachers who uses Palm OS... If you use the new Cetus GPS beta together with the new GPSbabel beta then you are able to convert a Pocket Query GPX file directly to a Cetus GPS position database that includes full geocache descriptions and the hints gpsbabel -i gpx -f infile.gpx -o cetus -F outfile.pdb In order to make it easier to manage large lists of geocaches, Cetus GPS now supports sorting by distance with reference to the current location or one of the positions in the list. Depending on your Palm unit and the list length it may take some time to re-sort the list if you change the sorting reference, but it works Happy geocaching! +VentureForth
That's cool, Kjeld! I can't seem to get hint information, though, even bypassing the Windows front and keying in the conversion from c: prompt. I get the conversion to Cetus OK, but without descriptions or hints. Am I missing something? Maybe a new version of GPS Babel I've been missing out on. Jim Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
Since you didn't say what version you had, we can't say for sure, but if you look at http://gpsbabel.sourceforge.net/changes.html you will see the hint decoding voodoo was added pretty recently - only the latest beta has it. +avaloncourt
Wow, that's a wonderful program. Thank you. I recently got the iQue and then immediately downloaded Cetus. This makes things so incredibly easy for Geocaching. Quote Link to comment
