Cache Numbers Off

It appears the locationless cache count has already been discussed...

WVDan has alerted me to an issue.

Was wondering how come now when you search by user name on the hide and seek a cache page:

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?ul=elijomikmini

the numbers no longer match those by the user stats page

http://www.geocaching.com/profile/Default....5f-b23090f8a0c4

Does this have to do with the double post issue? Or does the hide & seek exclude a group?

Thanks, and I apologize if this has already been discussed.

Mike

Searching for "all geocaches" excludes locationless from the results. You have to specifically click on the locationless icon on your stats list to see all the locationless caches a user has found.

This has occured recently because locationless caches should not come up from nearby searches. I may override that exclusion but there is little usefulness for seeing when someone logged a locationless. The numbers are still correct in your find count, however you value that information.

Mikedx--

This should give you guys a more accurate count of caches found in WV since you don't tend to find locationless caches in the state where they're listed. You'll just have to add 100,000 and Metamorphosed buildings to your WV count if you want these to be considered WV finds. Other than that, you might figure out which locationless caches you found within WV (I'm guessing all or at least most of the ones you found were actually in WV) and add those numbers to your WV count. This could really make the WV race interesting.

It seems simple to me. If I am in my profile and click on the "All cache Finds" link, then I should see a list of all caches found. Locationless caches should be included in this results list. Or you should change the link text to "All cache finds except Locationless caches". I of course prefer the complete results list. Jeremy, can't you create an alternate query to accommodate both objectives?

Jeremy, Can you create an alternate query to accommodate both objectives?

1) Displaying caches found that exclude Locationless

2) Displaying a complete list of caches found by a user including Locationless? I am extremely surprised that this feature was removed since the link implies all caches found.
