+Colorado Papa Posted August 8, 2004 Share Posted August 8, 2004 Wow, stopped off in Green River, Wyoming this morning to check for a benchmark near the old Union Pacific depot. The depot is now used for changing crews on east-west trains. Had a great time talking with the engineers and watched remote engines shuffle cars from train to train. Brought back memories of 70 years ago when I lived near a freight yard, but at that time had steam engines. Ah, I love hunting benchmarks for the history and experiences!!!
