+kitmonster
I'm heading up to Manchester for the weekend from London Via M40 / M6. Are there any service station caches or ones very near junctions? I've tried searching and haven't had much luck. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
There's two quickies just off M40 J5 & J6 - Dan & Pids Christmas Countdown and my own 'rubbish but quick' Cache in the Attic. If you come off at J5, cross the motorway, take the A40 left, then the next left by a coms tower back over the motorway. It's signposted for The Chiltern Sculpture Trail. It's all of 5 mins from the motorway, and my cache is a 5 min walk up the road. To get back to the motorway, return to the A40, turn left, down the hill, take the left at the staggered crossroads at the bottom and then right back onto the M40 at J6. Again, all of 5 mins from the caches (both are trads and shouldn't take too long). Hope that gets the ball rolling. SP Quote Link to comment
davester
This cache is located more or less straight off the motorway at Junction 11. One junction further up, you'll find this cache, which is also within a 2 minute diversion. Quote Link to comment

+kitmonster
Blimey! Going to be a long trip! . . Thanks so much - at least it will break up the monotony of our lovely motorway system . Quote Link to comment
+Pharisee
There's a T/B hotel GCA528 at the A1/M62 services. There's also a T/B hotel GCG7BG at the South Mimms Services at the A1/M25 junction. Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
I just noticed 3 mins from J7 of the M40 is my Puerile Photo Cache No. 4 - Bump and Grind. It's a simple off-set multi and should only take 20 mins, tops. Plus a photo should be take, which made me think of you! SP Quote Link to comment
+kitmonster
Thanks SP. Might be dark by the time I get there! If I can, I'll drop by. Quote Link to comment
