jkettu
Recently I gave a trackable to a fellow cacher to help it travel a bit further away. When he grabbed it, the log says "grabbed from [a cache I retrieved it from], not from my inventory as I would have expected. See the two last logs here. Then there is also this thread, which seems to be a very similar case. Am I missing something here? Link to comment
+palmetto
I've seen this error as well. Coin owner places cache in event. Grabs coin out of event, then nearly 2 months later archives event listing. That archival of the event listing triggered the bogus "[This is an automated message] This is a message to let you know that your trackable item TB20DFY has been marked ‘missing’ by a cache owner or a site administrator. Trackable items are marked missing when it is determined that they are no longer located in the cache they are listed in or in the hands of the current holder. Please review the most recent logs on your trackable item to learn more information about its current state." I call it bogus both because it is posted under the name of the Event owner, who did NOT post that message, and because it's simply wrong. The item was not marked missing by anyone. The event was archived, but the coin was not in the event at the time, it was in the coin owner's inventory. Now its location is Unknown. Edited December 13, 2009 by palmetto Link to comment
